I am a computer science student at the University of Waterloo. Some of the many skills I have include programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Java, Javascript, HTML/CSS, and many more. As well as frameworks like Linux, Bootstrap, and Django along with other skills such as Git. In my free time I enjoy learning new languages and technologies to further develop my skills as a programmer. All my projects can be found on my Github. Feel free to check out any of my other socials for more about me!
As an a part of the IT team at Silfab Solar, I learned a lot about the infrastructure of technologies in a business. I learned how to use many new technologies such as Microsoft BI and Microsoft NAV. I developed my skills as a coder by writing scripts to automate the generation of reports. In addition, I debugged previous code to ensure that it worked correctly. I also worked with database to enter and extract data to analyze and generate reports. Overall, working within a team taught me a lot about collaborating with others and the importance of communication in a group-setting.
A couple of friends and I, decided to start an organization called Coding Buddies. We realized that when we were younger, we had no idea what computer science was. Contrary to that, we were all considering university programs that involved computer science. As a result, we founded this organization to give youth a headstart in coding especially since STEM is so prevalent today. The idea was to give students a basic understanding of what coding is using the Python language. We gathered a group of mentors that helped us along the way, leading to a successful first year of operation. The organization still runs to this day.
Max Robotics was an organization that helped young students learn about both hardware and software and how to connect the two, to create functioning robot. As a volunteer I experienced hands-on the importance of introduing robotics to kids at such a young age. I realized how bright and how much potential many of the students has. This inspired me to be more active in promoting robotics and other STEM related subjects to younger students, in order to allow them to reach their full potential in the future.
Some of the projects I have made.
